    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I really enjoyed the subject matter, and the course is good at going through the basics of each of the major subfields of linguistics. It also was not a super demanding class.

    Course highlights:

The most time was spent of phonology, syntax, and pragmatics. You learn about IPA and you memorize the letters used in English, about one form of doing sentence trees, and how meaning is conveyed in different/similar sentences. You also learn a bit about the brain and language learning as a subject.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You don't need to buy the workbook or stress over the class; a lot of it is a completion grade.
