    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

    I would recommend GAME101 to anyone who is interested in game design, taking an easy class, and looking for a class to satisfy their art credit. I also recommend Matthew Random because he's a chill guy and cares about his students.

    Course highlights:

    I think the highlight of this course was understanding the basis of game design. Understanding the mechanics of game design, was useful when my team had to come up with a fun and visually appealing board game. It's all about making the game easy enough for a kid to learn but mentally stimulating enough for adults to be attracted to it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Check online for the textbook first and sit next to people you think you can make a game with.

    I think this class is a really fun way to learn what goes into designing a game, as well as how you can do it your self.

    Course highlights:

    The mechanics of what goes into making a game from story to game play and more.

    9-11 hours

    Any student should try this course, it gives you an interesting angle to game design.
