    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it's a great introduction to biology. It was difficult, though.

    Course highlights:

I gained a lot of knowledge about the basics of biology. It helped me understand more about biology before continuing onto higher level courses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study everything. Not only the notes, but also the articles and videos the professor uploads. She tests you on those as well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Whether you're passionate about biology, or just taking the class for the required credits, Dr. Fondufe makes introductory biology fun and exciting. Her passion for biology is contagious, which makes learning it an enjoyable experience, her knowledge is extensive and she makes the material easy to follow. She makes sure that everyone understands the concepts, focusing extra time on the subjects that people have a hard time with. Overall she's a great instructor and makes biology more compelling.

    Course highlights:

The highlights would definitely be her teaching style and passion. I learned a lot from this course, you review the basic biology, like kingdoms and domains, but you also go beyond to learn about things like phylogenetic trees and other more intensive/involved concepts.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely recommend taking your time on the homework assignments, you have a week to do them and I would suggest that you don't put them off until the last minute. I would also recommend that you follow her posted study guides for the exams, the will help focus your studying and also provide the information she intends to ask about. Also go to class, you will get way more out of the lectures than you will from just reviewing her PowerPoint.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I enjoy biology very much. This class I didn't enjoy the most, but I believe it was because of the time of the class.

    Course highlights:

More than the basic concepts of biology. We learned about grouping of animals and plants. Also about the chemistry of cells and how energy is used.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class, and look over the slides. Try to go to study hours when you can. Do the study guides sent out before the exams.
