Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is going to challenge you to actually think when you write. It may hurt your brain in the short term, but your brain will be happy in the long term.

    Course highlights:

The highlight for me was learning to deduce what conversation a piece of literature was contributing to and how to argue against or for that piece's position.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Bring your own stapler. The professor is a ruthless staple-hording format Nazi.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was a wonderful environment to be around. The course was very in depth with the topics and discussion was very fun because everyone had a chance to talk and participate.

    Course highlights:

I learn how to write papers as well as a lot of the grammar and vocabulary that I use now in my writing. Discussion opened me to talk more and debate with other fellow classmates.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read and always do work assign because it is not busy work but work to help you in the future.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Class has a focus on Horror and the teacher is absolutely amazing. Patrick truly cares about his students education and pushes them to their best abilities. He is very personable and has amazing stories to share which helps the class and students feel connected to him.

    Course highlights:

The teacher and the essays done. For his essays he gives you themes to chose from and then allows you to pick any work of horror whether it be a video game, a book, short story, song, movie and then analyze it. Having that type of freedom and interests helps all of the students write better papers and be more invested in doing so.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Patrick does expect quite a bit from his students and he is a fairly tough grader but he is always there if you need him. My best advice is to reach out if you need help and to actually partricipate in class discussions.
