    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class is mandatory as a prerequisite for Nursing, however I wouldn't recommend the teacher. Mr. Malmos is a really nice guy. His teaching maybe wasn't the best, for he just kind of went with the flow and at the beginning of the semester he went off on tangents a lot. Sometimes he focuses too long on things that maybe didn't need that much attention. He did give us study guides and the tests would use the same questions. He doesn't post grades.

    Course highlights:

The labs were the highlights of this course because it gave you some activities to do and interesting things to look at.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to read your textbook!

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I'd recommend it because it's a requirement for most of the other science courses that Valencia offers, but it's also an important class to take for understanding future material.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about genetics that really made sense and could connect to actual situations. The highlights of the course were the labs because they honestly were not difficult as long as you follow the directions and ask the professor for any assistance.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study for the quizes and the tests because just glancing at the information from the lectures will not allow you to get an easy A in the course.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would reccomend it because you learn a lot in this course and Genetics is very interesting.

    Course highlights:

Learning about how certain genes are inherited is a highlight of this course. I learned that the appearance of certain characteristics is dependent on dominant and recessive genes combinations.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a lot for the tests if you want to do well.
