Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Great class and professor! I highly enjoyed my time in this course because I learned an array of new things and got to put my new skills to the test every week. I enjoy looking back at all the projects we created and adding them to my portfolio. It is truly a class where you can discover what you enjoy in (or if you enjoy) the digital media/design world and it was all very helpful in deciding upon a major!

    Course highlights:

Throughout this course we spent quite some time in each Adobe program. We began with the basics of Photoshop and Illustrator, then dove into Audition and Premiere then lastly Dreamweaver. We created logos, radio spots, videos, collages, and websites. It was a very hands on course I highly enjoyed!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course, you must have a good work ethic and must be able to work with deadlines. It is very important to take advantage of class time to get work done and make sure everything is submitted to the right place at the right time.

    Advice for students:

You'll need time and dedication to get through the projects.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course covers many of the basics of Digital Media, including video and photo editing. It can be overwhelming at times, but Professor McCaffrey was very helpful. It also helps to practice with the software in your own time. Above all, being passionate about the work really helped with this course.

    Course highlights:

The best parts for me were using the professional equipment with the latest Adobe Creative Suite and powerful computers in the classroom. Another exciting part was when we spent one class period learning how to set up, use, and put away the cameras that students use for their shoots. My favorite part was our final project where we made a video to help students find their way around the campus. This video was then played by scanning a picture using the Aurasma app for a smart phone.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice is to be passionate about the subjects and practice in your free time.
