This class was tough.
This is a course designed to outline the principles of managing others, but in that discovery you have the opportunity to learn how to manage yourself. These are skills that will help you succeed in all of your pursuits, not just becoming a business leader.
With each chapter of the text we were asked to write an essay dealing with one subject from that chapter. This process brought real world developments and current trends in business into our discussions. Any text book dealing with business will not remain current for long. By asking us to find current information relating to our course material, we could see ways that this information could be applied in the real world.

Advice for students:
Go into this course prepared to be treated like a business person seeking advancement. Dr. Hudson required us to give a confident introduction at the start of each class, and if we answered a question he expected us to defend our opinions clearly. It was challenging to strive for excellence in all aspects of his curriculum. If one did not give 100% in his determination he called us out on it.
