Advice for students:
Get on the professor's good side, which honestly does not take a lot of effort. If you feel like he dislikes you, ask yourself if you merited that. Did you really study for the in class oral definitions, or did you merely hope he'd ask you to define something you already knew? He is an excellent connection to have if you plan on asking for letters of recommendation, so make sure you put in the work and actually pay attention.
