Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a basic introduction in gathering and writing news. It really sharpens your skills on creating content, journalistic writing styles and common knowledge within the journalism career.

    Course highlights:

I gained knowledge on the writing styles and how it differs from your regular English class. I find it to be easier, but it can be tricky because all your information MUST be correct and you CAN NOT write in the first person. Grammar, spelling and punctuations is also nit picky, but it is worth it in the long run, especially if you choose to stay in the field of news writing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to stay on top of the assignments. You're not going to get quality work if you wait until the last minute. The professor is pretty lenient when it comes to grading, but he can spot BS, so don't try it. Also go to EVERY class. Even when you're not feeling it, still go because what we go over in class really helps you with the assignments and you can't find it online or on Blackboard. Lastly, if you are stuck or need help , GO TO THE PROFESSOR! He may not seem like it, but he is really helpful when going over your ideas and if they are feasible or not, or if you just need a boost. If you're not comfortable with that, try to reach out to a classmate. They most likely will be stuck too, and you guys can bounce ideas off of each other. There's no harm in it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Please be advised to attend class everyday! you CAN NOT learn if you are not there.
