Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would recommend this course because it provided me with the basic tools for using Logic Pro X, (a digital audio workshop software). If you are a student hoping to pursue a career in audio production or land a job somewhere in the music production field, COMS 349 is a perfect place to start.
The highlights of this course include an audio clean up exercise, where I was given a track with terrible audio quality and had to "surgically" correct it's errors. I was tasked with removing the background noise, correcting audio levels and compressing a new audio track using Logic Pro X. Another highlight of this course was composing fresh, new audio for a movie scene. I was given a one minute and thirty second movie scene and after my professor deleted the scene's entire audio track, (music, dialogue and sound effects), I had to re-create the audio, creating a completely new story behind the scene. This was definitely the most difficult but enjoyable projects I completed in my college career.

Advice for students:
I would advise a student considering this course to manage their time wisely. This is a production course, which means that you will be living by the word, "deadline". By staying organized and retaining the knowledge given to you in lecture, you will meet your project deadlines with efficient audio production work.
