Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It lays a good foundation for the other English course that you'll have to take in later semesters. It'll help you point out flaws in your writing that you may not have otherwise noticed.

    Course highlights:

I learned how I should focus not so much on the little details of an essay but on the biggest picture and how to make my paper flow nicely from one point to another without making it too heavy on one.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely go to the conferences and listen to what your professor suggests for you to fix.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course of course because it's required but also because it's fun. It's nothing like the English classes you would take in high school, you would actually find that most things they taught in high school about writing were wrong. i think part of the reason I enjoyed it so much was my instructor. She taught in a way that you could tell she actually cared and wanted her students to succeed. She loved engaging with us and always wanted to know what we thought about something. So make sure, in any class that is, that you have an instructor that you can connect with because that can set the tone of how the course will go for you.

    Course highlights:

The highlight for this course would have to be the Personal Narrative we had to write as one of our last assignments of the semester. It was very enjoyable to me as I felt as if I was an author or journalists that had to make a deadline or something. It got me out of my usual element a little bit and made me really think outside of the box.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in the class, you will need to make sure you keep up with deadlines, participate in class which means you would have to be present in class everyday and also reading the assignments provided is important as well. There aren't any tests or quizzes in the class so entire grade relies on essays/papers, and participation and/or attendance.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a required course but it it only as fun as you make it.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would have to be learning about persuasive tactics in writing.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to take a lot of time away from your and study for this course.
