Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Anthro 202 with Catungal was an interesting experience; she has a quirky sense of humor and way about her that sometimes catches you off guard (it can be quite amusing). Although, the class itself isn't terrible by any means, for during the entire course of the semester class, most of all assignments are completed in groups that you form at the very beginning. Hopefully, your group is good and members are quite responsible. You will get to learn about a few different humans/culture groups during the course, from her and from your own research that you will do in projects, so that can be interesting as well.

    Course highlights:

For one, Professor Catungal's spontaneous humor or remarks. Second, another particular aspect to this course was that everything was open book and open note (I personally never had a class like this before, so it was a surprise). I learned about the evolution of the human species/earliest man, new traditions/cultural ways of various people groups around the world, and that there are many, many factors that go into the study of cultural anthropology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Get the textbook for this class--it will help you so much for the exams! Also, there are quite a number of small assignments throughout the semester, oftentimes every other week, as well as a long-term assignment for the end. Therefore, make sure you communicate and stay in touch with your group members well so that you all can work on and complete your assignments/projects together in time.
