Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely loved this course! I had previous knowledge of psychology from two high school courses, but Professor Hernandez went into great amounts of depth, while keeping it at a level that was easy to understand!

    Course highlights:

I learned the different parts of the brain and their abnormalities and functions. That section was especially difficult, but just as intriguing. I also learned about personality types which is always a joy. We covered motivation in humans as well, and my favorite topic was sleep.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class, youll learn the most information during the lectures. Read the focus topics too! She gives you specific pages and sections from each chapter so you do not have to read the entire chapter.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is great! Not only is it a great and very important subject to learn, but the way Dr. Schilf includes and explains the theories and the experiments that have happened in psychology history you end up feeling as if you have been studying it for years. You actually understand the material and are able to apply to your everyday life to life challenges or teach someone a thing or two about themselves.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was cracking jokes with Dr. Schilf and learning at the same time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice i could give for this course is listen, read and ask plenty of questions.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Hernandez is one of my favorite teachers. She makes it easy to pay attention during class and explains things really well. The work load is pretty easy if you just do what she asks and there are only two short papers. The quizzes and exams are quick and simple, if you've done the reading. This was the class I was most worried about but now it's my favorite and I look forward to learning more from Professor Hernandez.

    Course highlights:

The class is general psychology so we've covered quite a few things. I do feel like I have a much better understanding of psychology. The course is interesting, some of my favorite subjects were the biological perspective and consciousness. For the biological we learned about what parts of the brain was in charge of certain things. The way it was explained made it fairly easy to follow. For consciousness we learned a lot about sleep, stimulants, and depressants. Again, it was all easy to follow and I enjoyed learning it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading. The professor has focus topics and then explains most the other stuff in class. If you don't do the reading, you will have a hard time with the quizzes and exams. As long as you pay attention to lectures, do the reading, and ask questions, you'll do great in this course.
