    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Professor Nagy is very smart and she knows what she is teaching and can explain it in multiple different ways if it is needed. There are many students who are willing to help if there is a problem and the environment is very friendly.

    Course highlights:

I learned the pathways of microbes in the environment and in medications that affect the human body in certain ways and why it is important to know the effects of the medicines.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering this course, be sure to be ready to take the time to study and prepare for class. This class takes a lot of discipline in taking the time you need to study the material.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Russo is a wonderful professor. The material is a lot to absorb so it is a gradual process to get used to. She really tries her best to help her students as much as possible.

    Course highlights:

Labs were pretty interesting. Since I'm a nursing major, learning about the immune system was the most influential part of that class because as nurses, we have to help prevent bacteria from entering and infecting patients

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Really pay attention in class. Reading helps to guide in the right direction. It also depends what kind of student you are. If reading helps you, read. It is encouraged because my prof gave us pop quizzes fairly often.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I definitely recommend this course because it brings out all of your previous knowledge about the world around you and magnifies it like you never thought possible. I learned so much about preventative behaviors and diseases that I never knew, and it has helped me so much to be conscious of my decisions and help those around me.

    Course highlights:

Learning about viruses and bacteria were my favorite part, because I was so in tune with my surroundings. I was able to understand the importance of antibiotics and antivirals, and I felt so much more worthy of knowing what I learned!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

DO NOT SLACK! From the beginning of class try your hardest, and you will succeed. I didn't try as hard as I could have until about half way through the course, so I didn't get the grades I hoped for. But as long as you take it seriously and try hard from the start, you'll be just fine!
