I recommend this class because professor Hessel is willing to work with you and to take the time to understand what you are doing.
Course highlights:
I learned how to read graphs and make a formula from those graphs. I also understand how formulas for sample size determination within a proportion.

Advice for students:
Just do the examples and work through the practice problems first then ask questions about stuff you don't understand in class. I personally think the best way to study is repetition and comprehending what you are studying at the time.

Professor Hessel is one of the best math teachers at RVC. All the concepts in the course he made sure that every student understood what to do. If I student missed a day, he would take time and actually show that student what to do.
Course highlights:
All the concepts for this course were thoroughly taught. Professor Hessel makes a booklet for each student that has all the PowerPoint slides so you can take notes right in it. Also in the booklet is all the study guides for all the tests. Use them and you will pass no problem! Also, don't be afraid to ask questions!

Do not buy the book before classes start. He will tell you which version you need. Pay attention and go to class. If something confuses you, ask questions.

I wish i could remember this professors name because I had him for a lot of my math classes at rock valley and recommended him to many people because he was one of the best instructors I have met. He explained things very well and made ways that people could learn without being confused. You could come to him and he would explain it until u got it wirhout getting frustrated. He made my life at rockvalley easier.
