    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor does not take it easy on the students, he really tests you with many different kinds of papers and assignments, such as a ten page research paper at the end of the semester.

    Course highlights:

My highlights of the course was when I started my research paper because I really felt like I could not type a ten page paper with a proper thesis statement and with the help of Professor Walters I was able to overcome and achieve.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to take notes. A lot of notes. Read all the hand outs and the handbooks. For the research paper make sure to read the book and other sources he tells you to read. The research paper is hard when you do not read the book "The Death of Ivan Ilyich and Confession." By Leo Tolstoy.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Id recommend this class because of how organized and insightful this class was. By having group discussions and editing sessions my writing continued to improve throughout the semester. The class was focused on making sure students understood the new MLA rules and had set due dates in advance so even if a person missed a class then one could be caught up before the next class period.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to work with others and ask questions in front of a large group of people. It brought me out of my shell and pushed me to use others as resources. By doing so, I received many ideas and suggestions I never would have thought of on my own. It allowed me to work with people I never would have talked to on a normal basis and helped me branch out in my writing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to those wanting to take this class is to take every opportunity given to have a new set of eyes look at your paper. Do not be afraid to ask questions and share ideas with others because it only helps in the long run. I also would recommend not putting the papers off until the last night because then nobody can over look the essay and help give you better input.
