    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class covers the first half of the Biological Sciences textbook. My experience in-class has been wonderful. The course was challenging and filled with very useful information that primed me for future science classes: both in study habit and course material. The professor used detailed and hands on (iclicker questions and demonstrations) lectures, and always asked if anybody had any questions. The professor also had convenient office hours in which she used that time to help you understand what you missed on a previous exam, etc.

    Course highlights:

This class has taught me more than just the Bio material itself; I have learned how to effectively study to gain max understanding of any material being taught. I have also learned how to use a textbook to its fullest. I have learned so much about cell anatomy and processes, and subjects surrounding genetics. My favorite was learning about genetic and hereditary-related disorders.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study! Don't underestimate the exams, and what to expect on them. Don't just skim a study guide and assume that you are set for the test!!! I made that mistake once. The exams aren't filled with information you can simply just memorize. The exams are filled with conceptual questions that'll need your understanding of the material rather than memorization itself.
