It is very important to know the history of the subject you are interested in. In my case, Aviation Management became clearer, which gave me a wider range of perspectives because I understood how and why certain regulations were brought up throughout aviation history.
Nothing is more valuable than when your instructor shares his or her personal experiences and wisdom and goes outside of the lesson plan to emphasize certain topics. It shows how much they care about the students.
