Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Honestly, I was really frustrated at first that I had to take this class. I only took it to fulfill the requirements for my BSN, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that I learned a lot more than I thought I would and in my role as stroke coordinator I actually use p-values and statistical significance a lot more than I thought I would. So in the end, I am glad I took this course as I am finding it beneficial in my career.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to evaluate data and to determine what makes something statistically significant or not, and in medicine this carries a lot of weight when looking at studies and trying to determine if a particular study has been successful or not.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the work assigned and don't try to do all of the assignments at one time. Take advantage of the tutors that are available on course hero they were a big help for me when taking this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course online, because it is not only a requirement for nursing school through National University; but the instructor breaks down the assignments and homework extremely well. This makes it easy to understand the material that is asked of you to learn through this accelerated course.

    Course highlights:

Every week we had a "in person" class through video chat on blackboard collaborate where you were able to ask the instructor questions and get answers right away, as well as the instructor clarifying what exactly she is looking for on the assignments and homework.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do not leave the homework/assignments for last minute. What seems like it is easy will remain the hardest part of the assignment and cut it close to deadlines. Leave yourself time to do a little bit of work each day instead of overwhelming yourself with all the work in one night.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course because in order to be accepted in to the BSN program at National you have to take this class. I had Professor MacDonald and he was pretty great.

    Course highlights:

This was a very difficult class, but something that really helped me was the online tutorials. They literally walk you through step by step how to solve each problem.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study and practice every day, familiarize yourself with the videos that teach you stat crunch and team up with some one in the class to keep you sane.
