    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a prerequisite for careers in the medical and chemistry field. It gives real world applications. Particularly how medications, materials, and industrial products are made and why certain processes are used.

    Course highlights:

The labs were very hands on, and the applications of the lectures. The funnest lab was making soap. The best soap was coconut, but it was a bit too good and very drying. I learned the synthesis of organic chemical reactions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Understanding the interactions and reactions of the chemicals being used will help embed the processes of synthesizing the reactants into the desired products. Reviewing constantly and clarifying any misunderstandings promptly.
