    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is very hard and if you struggle with math it will be difficult

    Course highlights:

I learned how to do the basics of chemistry like balance equations and understand how chemical reactions work.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to the study reviews, read your book, ask questions, go to class and always pay attention.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you do end up taking this course with Tye, I strongly suggest getting a tutor. I definitely wouldn't have passed the course without one.

    Course highlights:

I would say that the biggest thing I learned through this course was the importance of time management and perseverance. The professors aren't there to babysit your grade and make sure you pass. That's your job.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Prioritize your school work and get a tutor if you're struggling. Don't put it off or you will be playing catch- up all semester.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because Dr. Pavlik clearly knows his subject matter, and does a good job at thoroughly explaining it to the class in an understandable way. As long as you keep on top of your work and study for the exams/quizzes, you will do fine!

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed Dr. Pavlik's sense humor, although it's probably not for everyone. He made the class enjoyable for me, and I understood the subject a lot better than I thought I would. The labs had clear instructions, so it was easy to follow and complete. I learned an immense amount of information that I never understood in my high school chemistry classes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to study for the tests. Dr Pavlik will give you study guides and a list of what types of questions will be on them, and you should use those to your advantage. As long as you complete the small amount of homework, and put effort into the class, it won't be too hard.
