    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class wasn't too hard and i enjoy classes that are not lecture style as that is how the rest of my classes are. The class is about cultures from around the world and the teacher is from Hawaii and has traveled all over the world which means he has some sort of insight of the differernt places. It's kind of hard because the professor challenges you to think more creatively.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about culture, we learn about globalization of things like products, ideas and culture identity, and Anthropological perspectives. Because of Mr. Burke's experience in other countries we often relate someof the things we learn to his adventures if they are connected. Disscusion is a main part of the class and can help you to understand concepts as that is what he wants you to take away from the course instead of regeritating readings.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's very important you do the readings, many times he has sent students out of class becuase they didn't read for class. The class is not a lecture format class nor a lab it's more of a group disscusion. There is no textbook but he posted online readings that once again you need to read. Be prepared to be challenged because he challenges social norms. I would highly suggest this class to a sociology major as it relates a lot to the subject.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Burke is a very good teacher and the class isn't a lecture and class disscusions are very fun. This class is very relevent in the real world and has to be my favorite class right now.

    Course highlights:

Mr. Burke teaches about the different cultures and mostly relates to globialiation. I learned quite a lot about other cultures and how other cultures are similar in a weird unconnected way.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is very nice and not very lecture based. Do the readings and show up to class and you should do fine. You aren't required to remember everything he cares more about you understanding concepts. You don't need a book but you have to do the readings posted on blackboard.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was great because we discussed culture and how the world is today versus how it was in the past. Students were able to share and discuss with the class.

    Course highlights:

I learned how other countries work. We talked about trends in other countries and how they differ from the United States.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to read all the material and to participate in the class discussions.
