    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course for those that are curious about the whole world around them. In this course, you will learn insects, animals, and humans, including the whys and hows we exist. After taking this course I can walk outside and understand the world in a whole new way. I know the facts of the plants, insects, and even the humans around me. BIO 112 is a very information and very interesting class for everyone!

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is expanding your knowledge of the world around yourself. Everyday we walk around and don't even know our surroundings, but after taking BIO 112 you are knowledgeable of multiple objects in your surroundings. Facts will fly through your mind of things learned in lecture. I learned many different subjects such as insects, marine life, all animals, and all human body systems. I learned why and how each living life on Earth walks and breaths. The course is very invigorating.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend making flashcards of each important word, such as an animals species and all the functions given. I would suggest going through these cards a little bit each day. This is not a class you can miss or not study for. It's all memorization and takes a lot of dedication and time. Always ask your professor questions and get help if you need it!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because she gives a basic outline what we will talk about and answers all your questions.

    Course highlights:

We did group activities which really helped me engage on the topics we were discussing. I learned about evolution and it's effects on populations and how a stimulus gets to one part and onto the next in a form of box and arrow methods.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Write down what she actually says rather than the notes, because most times what she says might be on the test, whereas the notes could not be.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I know that you have to complete this course if you are a biology major, but I have never struggled so much in a class. So only take it if you HAVE to graduate with this class.

    Course highlights:

What I have learned from this course is that you need to apply yourself and stay motivated until the end. There were days when I was too lazy to study for the exam and the consequences were horrid. Let me also add that there aren't many grades going into the grade book, therefore, getting a bad grade on one exam makes it difficult to raise your grade up, but it is NOT IMPOSSIBLE.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook and study the figures that are in each chapter. Listen in class and study many days prior. Do not start studying the day before the test!!!
