Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class immerses you in a classroom to give you excellent experience. Creating the classroom management plan prepares you more in your journey to become a teacher. Mrs. Allred knows her stuff and truly cares about her students!d

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the stories Mrs. Allred had to tell. She had many personal and professional stories to brighten our days. The different forms of praise she introduced us too always brought a smile to my face. I will never forget the crocodile clap. Learning about the different theorists of education who contributed to education and how it is now was very insightful. Finally, the classroom management plan was eye opening and exciting to create.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I took this course through a practicum called Schools within the Context of Community, and it taught me more than I've ever learned on campus. It gave me real classroom experience and a new outlook on school and life. I would strongly recommend it.

    Course highlights:

This practicum was tough. It was a lot of work and required your entire heart and soul but it truly taught me what it means to be a teacher. I see students differently than I did before. I see their potential and I learned with them. The most valuable thing about this course we're the relationships I built along the way.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Allow yourself to grow. Put as much of yourself into the program as you can, and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
