Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course was very well organized and taught me everything I needed to know without going overboard on the details. The teacher was extremely helpful and was always willing to answer any questions.

    Course highlights:

I learned what sociology was and gained a new worldview. I look at many situations differently now and notice many discrepancies in stereotypes and in the media. Sociology definitely changed my perspective on many issues and I really appreciate everything I learned.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course, you need to always complete the assigned reading and watch the required videos. This will ensure that you know the material that you will be tested over. Also, the teacher gives you study guides, so make sure you look at them before the tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Holtzman is very outgoing and funny which keeps the class exciting. She knows the material very well and her notes are broken down completely so that students can understand the material. She makes sure everyone is involved so that we can actually comprehend the material and not just memorize the notes. She gives a lot of extra credit as well. There is weekly homework but they aren't too difficult of assignments and you learn more along the way. Dr. Holtzman overall wants people to love sociology as well as learn and comprehend it.

    Course highlights:

Emotional Class Discussions, Class Activities, Group Work

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not miss class or you will fail just because of the amount of in class assignments we do and because the notes are not posted and when she gives notes she goes more in depth with them to break them down better.
