    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She is an AMAZING professor and I learned so much, however her exams are incredibly difficult. She is a very hard grader and what we learn in class is not reflected on the exams.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about inequality when it comes to women and minority groups. I went into this class thinking everyone, including professor brown, was a crazy off their rocker feminist. Now I would proudly consider myself a 'baby' feminist and have gained passion in the area of striving for equality.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the national graphic readings, study her notes, read the textbook, go to class, and pray to God that somehow someway you get a good grade on the exam. GOOD LUCK!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course was very interesting and it kept me intrigued every class period. K. Brown is an entertaining professor and keeps things lively. However, her opinions are very strong and obvious, and I do not think, as a professor, she should allow her views to show.

    Course highlights:

As a nonfeminist, I was introduced to a lot of new information regarding women's role in society and they difference between male and female anatomically, emotionally, and intellectually. I thought the class was very eye opening just for the fact of being a human in our social world. I now am more aware of why male and females act the way they do in specific situations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the journals. I have taken several classes with K. Brown in which she assigns these journals and only once did I work ahead, and it was was easier than I made it before. Remember your own opinions and don't let her persuade you. The Ph.D. in her name doesn't mean shes always right.
