Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to anyone with an interest in theatre, that does not plan to major. It is a great opportunity to learn about the basics of theatre and learn how to write your own play.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I learnt how to work in large groups, which helped out a lot in my major, and I leant basic playwriting skills. This class also shows how to break down a play to understand it better.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to succeed in this class, be patient with other members of your group and relax. Make sure to see all of the plays you are told, and if you are given extra credit opportunities, take them!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was hell. He does not teach and he is so self centered that it is hard to learn anything in it. If it did anything for me it was the fact that he brought me out of my comfort zone.

    Course highlights:

How to come out of my comfort zone.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

if you don't need it, dont take it.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class was incredible. Professor Tovar is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is a good person, and he is one that encourages you to find your passion and do what you want to in life. He focused on teaching us about pursuing what we wanted.

    Course highlights:

This was a THEA 100 class, and he knew that many of us were not theater or acting majors. Rather than making us act out plays, he taught us about stage design and what goes on to create a play. I had so much fun planning out lighting, props, and costume design for a play of my choice. He also brought in guest speakers to teach us further about each of those areas.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! He is an incredibly inspiring teacher who cares about his students. He teaches you about what allows actors to act onstage. Very few teachers will talk to you about stage designers and setup.
