Course Overview:
I would reccomend this course because it teaches you some very valuable things that are applicable to life. His backwards teaching method is different, but you get used to it after a while. It's not a very difficult class so if you apply yourself you'll definitely get an A. A lot of learning is done on the computer through visi notes and videos.
Course highlights:
I learned about finance, for example how to calculate different types of interest, how to compare banks, about inflation and deflation. I also leaned probability, statistics, standard deviation and circuits. Nothing was too complicated.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
If you don't learn well online this course probably isn't for you because notes and videos on how to complete the homework is online. He helps you in class when he can but it's a big class. Also if you hate group work it's not for you. He randomly assigns you groups of about five one to two times a week. Make sure to check blackboard for homework every day because sometimes he doesn't say the assignment in class.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
This was the most enjoyable math course I've ever had. For someone who was getting too stretched out by the increasingly difficult theoretical math classes in high school, this class was a breath of fresh air. In this class, you learn math with real world application and examples.
Course highlights:
In this class you take a behind the scenes look into the numbers of things you can see in everyday life. You learn chapters on probability, which can clearly be seen in casinos as well as in basically every game. It mostly all practical math.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Go to class every day. The class is very easy if you are actively there and listening to the professor teach. Review your notes before quizzes and review quizzes before tests and you should do just fine.
Pretty easy, overall.
Course Overview:
It's a flipped class room. You learn outside the class and work inside. The teacher wants the best for everyone and will do anything to see her students succeed in everything they do.
Course highlights:
I gained the knowledge of basic math subjects. I learned probability and taxes. Some of this you learn in grade school but this furthers your learning.
Hours per week:
0-2 hours
Advice for students:
Definitely take this course if you need it. It's so helpful and the teacher is like a friend
