    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He was the best professor I have had so. He was new at the school and anyone could tell he was nervous. However, for such a brilliant man to be teaching general chemistry we were honored to have him. The best part was our small class size. We had only 17 students. If you are lucky to get in a general chemistry class with this little number of students do not take it for granted. Someone who is trying to learn chemistry should take the time everyday to do so. Learning chemistry is not an easy task so it takes constant attention to even get some sort of comfortable feeling with it.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this course was the professor. He made things fun to learn. He was willing to listen and understood it was difficult material. He pushed us and questions the questions we had for him. It was a laid back class yet a learning space. It was tough material but the professor made the difference. We learned all sorts of things. Galvanic cells and acids and bases to name two topics.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Taking a general chemistry course or any science course means that you should be taking time everyday to go over notes and learn more about the subject. No matter how much you think you learned during the lecture always go back and review. At finals and exam time you will thank yourself for drilling that information into your head earlier. It will be easier to review at the end instead of teaching yourself the material. It is extremely difficult to learn chemistry on your own.
