    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Biology 101 lays down the foundations necessary for people interested in pursuing a major in biology or biochemistry, and it gives them a taste of what might be in store for them if they were to pursue a medical career, for example. The class was fun, engaging and rigorous, keeping many of the highly intellectual students on their toes.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course, for me, was learning about vertebrate anatomy. The class was taught how the circulatory system, endocrine system, etc. all work together to keep animals alive and ticking. Although they may be invertebrates, we were allowed to raise caterpillars in lab that we further used for humane experimentation.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To anyone thinking of taking this class, just remember to show up to every lecture and put in the proper amount of effort required to be succesful in this class. Keep up with studying, reread your notes, and read the textbook. Go to see the professors during office hours, and, overall, just be engaged and ready to learn.
