    Course highlights:

    Stability in synchronous machines: steady state transient and dynamic stability, equal area criterion of stability, short circuit and negative sequence conditions. Electrical and mechanical load operating charts, limits of stability. Governor characteristics: oscillations and hunting. Methods of improving stability of synchronous machines.

    electrical instruments,practicals with Kenya Power Lightning Company .
