    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course was one of the most difficult I've ever taken. It introduces new material and there's a steep learning curve ahead. It basically introduces the physics of semiconductors,

    Course highlights:

Although difficult, it is very essential to the electrical engineer in understanding why p-n junctions, transistors and other semiconductor materials work the way they work. The course also involves a lot of lab experiments.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Inorder to pass this course you need to have a good understanding of calculus and high school physics as the course is math heavy. You also need lots of practice with the new material. Make sure you tackle a few big assignments that the lecturer gives and also engage with your course mates in great discussions so as to have a better understanding of the material.
