I highly recommend the course.It helps one to appreciate the importance of a balanced diet to normal body functioning. The course also equips one with relevant skills needed to identify and prevent common nutritional disorders like kwashokor and marasmus.
The course focused on proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals as basic requirements for human nutrition. It also looks at fruits, vegetables, cereals and legumes and their importance to the body;Occurrence of life style diseases; Malnutrition, its manifestations and control together with important aspects to consider when formulating a balanced diet.

The course needs dedication and passion.One considering to take Nutriotional Biochemistry should be ready to read and understand concepts through group discussions and personal reading. One should also strive to carry out all practicals related to this course because it is these practicals that will help reinforce theorical concepts acquired in class.
