    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    it is a practical course and essential for real world development

    Course highlights:

    we learned about calculus, theory of structures (bending moments, deflection of structures), engineering materials eg concrete, hydraulic structures etc

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

    those who would like to venture into this course should be ready to study as well as take several assignments.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    civil engineering entails designing of structures such as buildings, highway, bridges, dams and irrigation systems.it also entails maintenance and construction of sewerage systems.

    Course highlights:

    I learned how to take levels when using a theodolite, I have also gain much knowledge in designing of structures such as slabs, beams, columns and foundation of structures. furthermore I learned how to design irrigation systems ,sewerage systems and also how to maintain them

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

    it is an interesting field of study which makes one feel to be part and parcel of the society as the society will solely depend on you for instance designing buildings, maintaining sewerage systems, designing irrigation systems, construction of roads and highways. its is indeed a nice and useful field of study whereby everyone is encouraged to dare study it.
