    Course Overview:

    As a graduant in criminology who has critical thinking and also communication skills you are attracted to employers both inside and outside criminal justice sector. Jobs directly related to criminology includes community development worker, police officer prison officer youth worker and social worker.

    Course highlights:

    l have learned that your degree in criminology would be useful in social research , solicitor and also as a local government officer. l have also learnt that employers value experience and a range of paid and voluntary opportunities exist. These includes work with offenders criminal justice agencies,social work and community education department and victims of crime.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Advice l would give students is that opportunities also exist in the private sector such as in the private security and in law practices. Graduant can also work in the social welfare posts such as mental health support and drug rehabilitation ,in housing as a housing officer and in refugee victim support and counseling.
