    Course Overview:

    Environmental science is an interesting course that helps in shading light on many aspects that people overlook yet they affect us every day. People depend on the environment for survival and not the vice versa, which makes the environment extremely important. Studying the environment helps a student understand many challenges that arise as a result of environmental degradation. the course further provides knowledge on how to handle to handle or prevent the environmental issues from arising. By the end of the course, a student will be capable of solving many environmental issues such as pollution and public health concerns.

    Course highlights:

    the main elements of the environmental science course include pollution control, sustainable development, public health, environmental law, ecosystem management, energy conservation, cleaner production technology, waste management and economics of natural resources.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    A student has to be ready to conduct research on past and present knowledge related to the environment. The environmental issue has proven to improve in complexity over the years and students must understand when pursuing the course. Students must not only stick to scholarly resources but also develop an interest to news and current environmental events around the world. Students must take home a lot of assignments to increase their competence with an extra emphasis on collaboration among students.
