The course provide introductory users with a broad understanding of modern electric power. The scope of the course also reflects the rapid changes that have occurred in power technology over the past few years–allowing the entrance of power electronics into every facet of industrial drives, and expanding the field to open more career opportunities. The course mainly covers the fundamentals of electricity, magnetism and circuits, mechanics and heat, electrical machines and transformers, electrical and electronic drives, and electric utility power systems. this equips the tutor in technical institutes to nature managers of electrical utilities, electricians, electrical contractors and electrical maintenance personnel.
-Strengthen my concepts in Electrical Machines-This subject formed the basis of power/power system engineering and i got a clear idea about it in the introductory years was extremely helpful. -I got a chance for an Internship at the ministry of energy in machakos county government where i learnt power systems and controls. I immersed with practical knowledge in the field .
