    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Maggie makes the class very accessible to students, the material is interesting, and even though the class sizes are larger than a typical Earlham course, class is very engaging.

    Course highlights:

This course provides an introduction to Social Psychology, which is the study of how the real or imagined presence of other people influence the behavior of an individual. It is a major requirement for Psych majors. Students learn the basics about important concepts in Social Psych and by the end of the course begin to see how those principles play out in real life in their effects on prosocial (helping) behavior, ostracism, and prejudice.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class. Maggie's lectures make it very easy to learn the material. I also read the textbook because I found it helpful to com into class knowing something about the lecture already, but Maggie will explain what students are and are not expected to know.
