Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course will challenge your beliefs in ways you would never though possible. Through the readings and class discussions, it leads you to understand the world around you in a non-scientific manner that is honestly refreshing. We read Thich Nhat Hanh and he is perhaps the most enlightening read of the semester as he dives into what power actually is and what it perceived to be in his book, The Art of Power. There are many faces to religion, not just the Judeo-Christian tradition, but the Buddhist, Hindu, and Islamic religions and they are equally intriguing. Don't be afraid of what you might learn in this course!

    Course highlights:

Power is within each and every one of us, we just have to know how to access it. However cliche it sounds, its true! We can't walk around waiting for people to give us the power and advancements we desire, we must go take it for ourselves, but be mindful that our actions have consequences in more ways than one. There is no right or wrong, only what is understood.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the reading as soon as you get it, sometimes we were reading a book a week, but it wasn't too bad as you are given a heads up. So if you start early, even if its 10 pages a day, you'll be better off than if you waited until the week its actually assigned. Also, make sure you participate in class because you're there to learn and you're paying for the class, so you might as well get something out of it!

    Course Overview:

It's so confusing! You have to have background that she doesn't teach at all

    Course highlights:

I learned silence is golden. And even if you don't know an answer you still have to try

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Be careful, the course is okay if you know a lot about Christianity coming in, if you don't you're screwed
