    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course was challenging yet fun. It really helped students to fully prepare for more advanced computer science classes. Professor Menzel was also very passionate about the subject. She would never stop encouraging students to study and understand the materials. She would explain things over and over again so students can really understand and succeed. I really recommend Professor Menzel.

    Course highlights:

We learned how to made simple Tetris, Paint, and 2048 with codes! That was awesome.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Go to office hours, have a friend who can support each other, and help other students too. Never miss a class or lab, always do the homework.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This corse is not for the faint of heart. It's challenging and takes several hours out of your week. It's definitely a weed-out class, but what you get out of it is so rewarding and totally worth it.

    Course highlights:

There are so many resources--office hours are plentiful, and the instructors are all helpful and willing to assist you. You go through several interesting, relevant topics in computer science throughout the semester and do a couple of cool game projects along the way.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take advantage of all of the resources at your fingertips. Go to office hours, ask questions and show up to all lectures and labs. You'll regret not doing these things.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this course. The homework is a bit overbearing and there are few online resources to help with a computer science class. This last part still blows my mind a bit.

    Course highlights:

The course certainly helps to get you to learn by yourself. As well as force you get used to using classroom help.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to get a bit of a background in programming before taking this course. If this is your first programming course, you are going to struggle with the logic required.
