    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was a requirement for my major. I personally would recommend it because it helped me understand biology on a deeper level. It is an interesting course, but it is very time-demanding. Studying is a necessity.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the central dogma of biology : DNA--> RNA --> Protein. The entire course focuses on this process. This class truly made me want to do research in the field of molecular biology because it is fascinating.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This is not an intro class, so make sure you are familiar with basic biological mechanisms. Do not fall behind. Complete all assignments on time. Go to office hours. Attend study sessions. Study at least a week before the exam. Review all PowerPoints thoroughly. If you purchased a book, only use it if some ideas are not clear because the chapters are long. I do not recommend purchasing it, unless you truly feel like you need it.
