    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This isn't a fun class but I managed to get an A and a 5 on the AP exam so it was worth it. The teacher was OK but her advice on the essays were flat out wrong. I went with what I read on the internet instead. But the info is good for getting a good historical background on life today.

    Course highlights:

I think the class got pretty cool right at the end because it's then that you come to realize that all the stuff you've been learning about has very direct impacts on life today. Now I understand why many people in the Middle East don't like Western culture and how the US came to have such a powerful position in the world. Stuff like that.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Actually read the text book and take notes. Many people didn't but I did and I found that I understood the material pretty well afterwards, even though I think the textbook is kind of bad. Also, when it comes to essay writing, do what you have to do in class to get a good grade, but on the test you don't have time to write all the stuff they say you need. This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course as it introduced me to a broader sense of culture and history. It focused on the major elements of each civilization starting back over 4,000,000 years ago. The course also helped me become a stronger writer and a self-motivated student.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of AP World were projects and presentations as they forced me to be creative with the information I was given. Thought the year we learned the cultures of various countries around the world from ancient times to modern day and learned how to compare them and analyze their effect on society.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are willing to take this course, I recommend being ready to write many essays to prepare for the AP exam. I also recommend to READ THE TEXTBOOK or at least an outline as this is most likely the only place you will get information for this class.
