    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Singleton's class is challenging, but worth every minute of it. He truly cares about his students learning the concepts, and how to apply them. He will sit with you one on one making up practice questions of varying difficulty until you start to understand. He goes out of his way to help his students and is an excellent lecturer.

    Course highlights:

Problem solving skills were by far the most valuable lesson of this class. Being able to take the knowledge I'd learn, and find ways to apply it when given something new to ponder is a skill that has helped me even outside of the academic setting.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Start studying on day one. Follow the notes he gives, do the suggested practice, ask questions. If you do not understand something, go to office hours or email him for an appointment. He is happy to help and will not stop until you are confident in the material. He is very supportive.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this course unless it is necessary for your major. It is very difficult but it helps prepare you study-wise for professional school.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed learning the different reactions.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the homework, especially the online homework because it really helps on the tests. I liked to read the book because it gives a step-by-step plan of how to perform a reaction.
