Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Though people might stress about an English course, this one was not challenging at all. Granted, you must attend each class session and participate. The instructor was absolutely wonderful and helpful throughout the semester. She went above and beyond to make sure each student succeeded in her class. This course with this instructor is hands down the best way to go for this class.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned that I had very underdeveloped writing skills. However, as the semester went, I only saw my grade go up, and it never went down. In fact, on my final research paper, I made an A. Truly a great feeling after working so hard all semester to earn the A in that class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class. Participate. Go to office hours. Utilize the TAMU University Writing Center. Not only will it help you with this course, it will help you in many courses and careers to come.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He's a great prof, his discussions in class over the essays are always interesting and he encourages us to always ask for help. He gives great feedback.

    Course highlights:

For every essay, we watched a movie that were centered around thrillers or just interesting, contemporary themes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to his office hours if you need help, or even email him. He responds promptly. Even at 1am.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Scala is the most caring professor I've had so far. She doesn't focus too much on the grammar and formatting on the paper, but on your ideas and helps you better them. I feel like I've written my best essays in her class.

    Course highlights:

I learned to write better essays and really strengthen my arguments in my papers. You actually write about real issues and I found myself actually wanting to write more and not just fill up the word count.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start on your papers early, and work on them in chunks. You will be less overwhelmed and write better papers as a result.
