    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Teacher is well educated and is dedicated to the students. Material is fairly difficult, but teacher gives best efforts to explain. Accounting tutoring with former students is available Monday through Friday of each week (provided by the school), which is very useful when completing quizzes.

    Course highlights:

I have yet to finish the course, so I cannot truly answer this question at the moment. But, seeing as this answer has a 30 character minimum and I am required to answer, I would say the highlight of the course would be the project (which is administered early on in the course). it's an easy 100, as long as you put in the work. You can even get the project checked at the help desk.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Spend the recommenced 8 hours/week on this course. Although daunting, the material builds on itself and falling behind will significantly lower your chances in excelling in the class. Keeping in mind that the final is cumulative, mastery of ever accounting skill is absolutely necessary. I have fallen behind myself, and I'm still struggling to catch up.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is challenging, but Dr. Strawser does a good job of explaining the major concepts of accounting. You will learn a lot and laugh at his accounting jokes. While it was difficult, the work was manageable.

    Course highlights:

I felt like the course was a good overview of accounting in general. We learned about basic concepts like the accounting equation, to more difficult concepts like bonds.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in lectures! Even though they are long, Dr. Strawser explains the material really well. Also use the eLectures for the book, and skim the book with the videos as a guide. They highlight the important information from the book, so you don't have to read the whole thing.
