    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Alegria is a fantastic teacher, he made the class interesting and included very relevant and useful information. Obviously, no one takes Organic Chem for the fun of it, and he understands that this is a required course. So, he gives a lot of opportunities for students to improve their grades. Such as, extra credit on exams and assessments, dropping two assessment grades and the lowest exam grade, and he is great about meeting students in his office.

    Course highlights:

Naming compounds (alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes), chirality, types of reactions, etc

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your best to make it to every class, take lots of notes, and utilize the office hours!
