    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Micro is a great class because not only do you learn a lot in class but the weekly lab is where you really get to practice your skills. You get to work a lot with microscopes, petri-dishes, bunson burners, etc. the lab quizzes are actually fun and you learn a lot practicing for them. We even got to dissect a fetal pig!

    Course highlights:

You gain hands on experience which I believe is the most important tool for learning. The course is difficult but definitely not impossible. The teacher is nice and will always spend extra time with you if you are in need of help. He even offers extra credit quizzes so it's quite hard not to succeed in this course if you put forth the effort.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I'd say that the course is tough but like any 4 credit college course you have to put forth the effort. For me, that includes never missing a class because you never want to have missing notes when it comes down to exam time. Use the study method that works for you and study atleast two days before each major exam. For me, that included a lot of note card making but it all paid off in the end.
