Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you took Bio in high school, this will be an easy review class. Professor Hansen will make sure you are understanding the material, and will work with you to get a good grade. he's always available for office hours, and will give out extra credit. He teaches in a way that is memorable.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about cancer, cellular reproduction (and everything about cells), ecology, etc., that I didn't already know about them. I had learned about the cell cycle in high school, but I never truly understood it, until Professor Hansen taught it to us again.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the online homework; it doesn't take that long, and it's easy. Take any extra credit opportunity you can get, because they help you out at the end of the semester. If you are confused, don't be afraid to go to office hours; he will explain it in easier terms for you to understand.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is very hands on. I went into this class thinking that it would be very difficult, although it had it's moments as long as you showed up to class and were engaged they gave you all the material.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course for me were the field trips at the beginning of the semester. Instead of just learning about the plants and animals we actually got to go out and see them. The area around the school provides many learning opportunities and we were able to take full advantage of that in this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

SHOW UP. This would be my biggest advice for this course. I know there are some classes were you don't have to go every day and you can still pass but this is generally not one of those classes. Every day you are covering a new topic. Especially for the lab portion of this course you need to do your best to attend all the days.
