    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course gives you a great understanding on organisms from a molecular level. It gives you information on diseases, how to protect yourself, and a brief history of scientists and their discoveries.

    Course highlights:

I experienced a little taste on how the healthcare field is going to be; the professor was a very no nonsense type person. I loved that the course was mostly independent so everyone is held accountable for knowing the information. The lab practicals were very easy to understand because it was a lot of the methods were repeated. I learned that a lot of the material was on common topics or everyday utensils but new information and how to use them.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to read your syllabus and check your student email for changes. I would get a planner to put all my assignments in so I can give myself enough time to study; usually 2-3 weeks before exam day. If you have difficulty try to attend tutoring or come to office hours to go over test and assignments that you didn't quite understand. Find a comfortable area to study. I find it better to study at a desk outside my dorm with music.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor was very intimidating and not helpful when you asked her questions.

    Course highlights:

we learned the importance of hand washing and how easily germs were spread.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study as soon as you get the material. There is a lot of information that is not easy to understand so start studying early. Also pay close attention to her directions because she is very specific about how she wants everything and if you do not follow them then you will get points off.
