    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Weaver is the only professor that could make a 4-hour 8 A.M. theory class interesting. She has an amazing amount of energy and works really hard to make sure each student understands and is able to apply the theories learned in class.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this class was the final assignment. Dr. Weaver challenged us to work in teams to develop an evidence-based initiative too improve the work of CHADS, a local suicide-prevention/anti-bullying organization in St. Louis. We had to do a literature-review and create a program based off of theories, such as the Socio-Ecological Model, Health Belief Model, Transtheoretical Model, and Social Cognitive Theory.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend reading the book and studying the flow charts that Dr. Weaver supplies.
